I kept renewing mostly because I didn't want to move and the location was good--but I got pretty tired of dealing with them. I had spiders too--until I started spraying around the doors. They are completely inflexible in the length of their leases, you can't get maintenance to do anything the first time you ask, and they do everything they can to get money out of you. They are also extremely rude when it comes to showing your apartment. When contacted the first time (<24 hours notice) I respectfully asked that they find someone else. My husband was having medical problems, I was busy at work and only sleeping 5 hours a night, and hadn't had time to clean in forever. They didn't even consider showing someone else's apartment instead. It isn't about whether they had the right to show it, but I would like the people who manage my apartment to be decent human beings. The next time, they showed up with no notice at all. They couldn't do a Saturday move-out and then sent 2 college girls in shorts and flip-flops who had never done a move-out before to do my check-out. They are constantly having people in and out to change filters, etc. and usually ive very little notice for that as well. Maybe this is ok if you don't mind people in your apartment when you aren't around, but I know enough people who have had items stolen from their management staff to not be comfortable with that. If you choose to rent at Chase Court, do it because of the location and be forewarned that the management is not great.
