I would advise anyone who is thinking about renting at Woodway (or any First Management properties) to take heed to these reviews. I lived there for two years and regret ever having signed a lease. The first year was OK, I had a problem but it was nothing that I wanted to completely pick up and move a four bedroom apartment over. September is when the problem started. As you can guess, this is the beginning of football season. They rent parking spots out for those who want to park and walk to the game. There are a lot of football players who live in the complex. My boyfriend was one of them. He had family coming in from Tx to see him play. I went to the office to try and obtain a parking pass for his family. Guess what I was told...I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $15 for his family to park somewhere that I pay my rent on time every month! Of course I had a major problem with this and asked to speak to a manager. I was told I can't speak with anyone who is not in the office. Apparently, they don't give out corporate's number. Go figure. After returning from Christmas break in January 2011 I came home to a flooded apartment. After them beating around the bush for about a month of whether or not they would reimburse at least a portion of our water bill (which was six times the normal amount), I was finally told "there was nothing they could do." The WORST part started in May of this year (2012). In March the apartment manager CALLED ME out of the blue saying if me and my roommates were interested in doing a sublease for the summer and ending our lease early, she had people lined up. We agreed, only to have a NEW property manager call us in May saying she knows nothing about the situation. At this point, me and all my roommates had moved out. Here again, they don't give out corporate's number. Long story short, after happening upon the district manager while she was in the office, she told me "there was nothing she could do." So, basically, they are charging us two months worth of rent for THEIR mistake. There are LITERALLY new property managers AT LEAST every other month. Washers and dryers suck. People in office are -------s and get paid to do nothing, because as they say, "there's nothing I can do."
