Resident ā€¢ 2009 - 2013

6/6/2013

I ve rented here for 4 years- opting for 12 month leases, except for one period of 15 months. Each of these times I CHOSE to renew. There are both positive/negatives to living here but the good definitely outweighs the bad. The Office and Maintenance Staff has always been kind and responsive. My experience has been the same with the new people as well as the veterans. Stephanie, the Office Manager, has been here through my entire tenure and I can say she s consistently professional and kind. She greets me by name EACH time we see each other. Repairs- responded to normally within 24hrs. There is the option to call in, stop by office, or submit your needs online. I ve only experienced maybe 2-3 times where service took 48hrs. That s out of at least 20 calls. While that may seem like a lot , please remember it s over a 4yr period. They have even changed my light bulbs because I couldn t reach them! (that is not a standard maintenance fix for complexes). Recently, I called in my air conditioning issue on a Sat morning. The tech was paged immediately to respond to the issue the same day as no one wants to be without air in June. I notified them that I d be away from home for the rest of the day, so please let me know if it would be repaired the same day. I received an email notice the same day that it was fixed. Grounds- always meticulous. The animal feces is due to lazy pet owners not cleaning up after their pets. I don t think it s fair to hold management accountable for those who break the rules. There is a dog park and cleanup stations throughout the complex. Apt conditions: pros- Spacious, full size laundry room, separate storage area, large patios, modern, and well kept. Cons- (1) No linen closets. (2)My living room area is large, but there is only one heating/cooling vent and it points in the direction of the dining room space. Therefore, in the winter the living area is cold & drafty. A space heater is needed to keep warm. The window and patio door in this area have weather stripping but there is still a draft. Heating bill is normally $150 during peak months and $90 during the others. I do have my thermostat set to lower temps when away from home & at night. Summer- the place is usually cool without the air conditioner (3) Vent in master bedroom does not yield same airflow as other vents so bedroom is hot in summer & cold in winter. If you shut the door and cut off circulation from the other vents you will be super hot or super cold. I was informed by the staff that the vent works properly, unfortunately it s a setup issue. I ve chosen to stay here so I use a space heater and fan to regulate the temperature. **The temperature regulation is an issue for me; however, I ve chosen to stay here. That is a construction issue that the staff doesn t control. Everything in their control has been attended to immaculately. Rent- prices for 2 bedrooms/2 baths is reasonable and comparable to other locations. The 3bedrooms which are priced at $1,650 is steep in comparison to other complexes. Also, these units don t have a full garage option which is a definite con considering the price. You will still need to pay separately for a carport for covered parking.
