Resident ā€¢ 2011 - 2012

9/23/2013

I moved out of Lexington almost a year ago and it was a mistake to move there in the first place. I EXPRESSED FULLY my disdain in hearing my upstairs neighbors even before I moved in. The representative that is no longer there (but was a long term employee), lied to me and told me that I would not be able to hear my upstairs neighbor at all. The upstairs neighbor was a tiny woman about 100 lbs and it was like a herd of water buffaloes when she walked across the floor. That is because the construction of the apartments is POOR!! They put no insulation between the floors and could have eliminated all their complaints by pouring 1/2 inch of concrete between the floors instead of building them with wood. The builders cut corners and costs and in return the tenants get ripped off by being overcharged for apartments that still look like 1998. Newsflash...brass fixtures are not cool. The windows are old aluminum windows that have gaps, don't open at all, or are broken and let air and water in. The water in turn warps the wood ledge and I'm sure is causing mold to grow under the copious amounts of paint that the complex puts on there to try and cover up the water damage. My advice: believe the bad reviews. Don't believe the complex staff when they tell you that the bad reviews are just disgruntled renters. No matter what, you are not supposed to hear your neighbor on a daily basis in apartment living. That's just the excuse complexes give you when they know the construction there is poor.
