Having two college kids in their early 20s, I've seen my fair share of rental apartments in three different college towns (Pittsburg, Lawrence and Manhattan). I'm more than comfortable with my daughter living at Crimson Villas for the second year in a row. Yes, she could probably be living someplace else for less, but I'm happy with the all-inclusive rent (mom and dad pay the rent); the safe/secure buildings (strangers and non-residents can't go right up to the resident doors), the overall cleanliness; the kindness, attentiveness and sensibility of the staff in the office; and the proximity to campus. The only complaint she's ever had about the place is that she sometimes can't get a parking spot right next to the front door of the building and has to park one or two bulldings over (typical for a college apartment but it's not really that big a deal). The noise level is typical of any college apartment. As long as my husband and I are footing the bill for a place for our college student to live, we feel good about our money going here and there have been no problems for her. The only additional thing I'd wish for is a place for a kitchen table/chairs to go in the two br/two bath unit and a stackable washer/dryer in the unit. The only way to get those two features would be to eliminate the second bathroom, however.
