I'm one person with no kids and rarely get visitors at my place. I lived in Carlyle in 2005. Everything was fine at Carlyle at first. I was paying $485.00 for rent and my utilities were $45/month average for electricity and gas/water. Then all of a sudden my gas bill went from $20/month to $150/month and my usage did not go up. I'm a stingy person when it comes to gas and electricity usage and I've always been conscious about my usage. Also keep in mind, that I'm one person who takes 1-2 showers/day and I have normal 70 degree temperature in my place. When I called the front office about it, they also gave me the runaround and really didn't give me an explanation for the increase. For the remaining 6 months of my lease, I had to pay on average $150/month for gas, water, and electricity. That's a horrible way to treat your customers and allocation is the worst way to bill people. My take on the subject: you pay for what you us. I was disappointed by that and I just wanted to let people know about that. Period. Other than that, my experience was fine. I had friendly neighbors. My car was right in front of my place. Good location close to everything. And a tennis court.
