Resident 2001 - 2004

Let me first say that I m not an apartment manager, so I will never fully understand the eternal torment that one must feel from having to ask tenants on a daily bases to please remove the decorative window clings from their children's bedroom windows.

Secondly; how could this complex get such a high rating? I was there from the beginning (And now with that said, and the window cling comment, the management knows who I am.) and due to school district boundaries we stayed, and stayed, and stayed. We were the first tenants to occupy the(first)unit we leased, but we were not the first people that lived in the unit. As construction progressed at a snails pace throughout the complex, different crews of unskilled laborers would homestead in the unfinished units(Anne assured me that I must be mistaken, and that this was not the case [thank god]). We had numerous problems attributed to faulty construction practices. Our front door never closed right, due to a shifting problem in the buildings footing (This problem also rears it s nasty head in comments made by other posters i.e. cracks in the living room walls), our icemaker made lime green cubes for the first week, we had cigarette burns on a new tub(the workers [the workers that didn t really live there] didn't realize these were plastic not porcelain), the fit and finish on everything was bad, the wood work looks like it came out of a double wide, and the drywall finish looked like it was done by a pack of 10 year old boys. I can only guess that the building inspectors got tired, and just started passing units. At one point I even dogged a maintenance guy enough that he admitted that he was just a pizza delivery guy who applied for the job. The only good thing was the showers the showers were strong. About two months later restrictors were installed in the water lines no more great showers. The gates were never secure the entire time we lived at the place. The pool didn't happen on time, and they gave us a little off the rent, but then we found out that we couldn t use the pool on the hill (the nice pool that was always empty) unless we were club members. Please don t get to loud in the game room there are folks trying to tan. The golf course is great, with an aggressive ruff. Very aggressive. You'll need 4 wheel drive to get out of it. But isn't the zenoscaping nice. Carports I think that s been covered. Phone service No-one s said anything about Bugtusle Bell . You see the Green's is a cookie cutter complex (check it out, there s about 5 or 6 more just like this one around the country), so they bring there own phone system with them. Let s make this short and just say that you ll get the same great care and attention from them that you get from the property management (your best bet is a Verizon mobile phone. There s a tower up at the Harley dealer.). So after all is said and done, if you go in to fill out an application you won t see my kid s Disney stickers in the windows, but I bet if you look at the upper bedroom window on the unit across from the office, it will still have paint overspray on it.
