I live in building 16 at the Crown Chase and have lived here 2 years. The apartments are nice and the staff is accommodating and friendly. However, the apartments are really drafty and bills are high because heaters/air conditionings have to run pretty frequently to keep up with all the air being lost through cracks in the doors, windows, etc. I assume, this is because most apartments are built pretty cheaply. Another problem is how loud your neighbors are. You can hear everyone come up and down the stairs, you can hear people upstairs and downstairs. I even hear my upstairs neighbors alarm clock in the morning. The grounds are kept nicely, sometimes too nicely as they mow sometimes before 8 a.m. on Saturdays. I have had many maintenance requests and they almost always get to them within a day. However, sometimes they are unable to fix the request and it gets slipped under the rug. My roommate went without a working light switch in her room for over a year before they finally fixed it. Their front gate has periodic problems. There was a week where it randomly would stop opening for any code put in and we had to wait for somebody to exit the complex to get in. It genuinely is a decently nice place to live though, the price may be a little high, but it's not bad if you live with a roommate. Another negative to me is the parking lot, which is a little bit too small. The spaces are tiny and if you get home later than like 8:30, you're going to have a hard time finding a parking spot. They have nice amenities that are always clean and in working condition and a nice walking pond. I never feel unsafe here and my neighbors (even if they are currently blaring twangy country music that I can hear through the floor) are all seemingly decent individuals that don't seem to be selling drugs or cooking meth. I also never have to worry about stepping in dog crap.
