Schilling property management needs to change.

The two main problems here are some very badly stained carpet in the common area, and the fact that Valley View did not pour a pad for the dumpster we use. So we all have to walk in the mud to take out garbage. In the photos, you will see the mud and the stains clearly. I asked for the stains to be addressed in Sept 2022. The carpets were cleaned, but the stains are still there. Schilling Property Management, did not follow up to see I was satisfied with the effort. Nobody did. So feeling a little unappreciated at that point. I decided I would have to live with dirty carpets so I let it go. But now it is even worse, and it smells of garbage. The stains are apparently from a resident who has leaky garbage bags. The dumpster is really bad. Half the time the dump truck drops garbage all over the place and it sits there for days unless I pick it up, which I usually do. Like I said, no pad, just a big mud puddle by the door to put the garbage in. Keep in mind that every day when I pull into my complex I see the sign "Luxury Apartments". Does the dumpster look lux? How about the carpet? So I sent an email asking for these two minor problems to be addressed. I have included a copy of the Managers response. I don't understand why they have to wait for the remodels to be completed before the provide a clean and sanitary environment for the current residents. I own a company and we work in new homes all the time. We take much care to protect flooring and if we ruin it we buy new! And they knew about the carpets in September so the remodel is just a bad excuse. That dumpster has been like that for a couple years. I don't understand how they can walk the grounds, see that and think it is ok?? Someone isn't doing their job. I am open to conversation with the owners of Valley View, but it will have to be via email. has my contact info. The following is the unacceptable response from the Manager. Kevin… We have addressed this multiple times with the person who has had an issue. Unfortunately, she is handicapped and cannot get out to the garbage, and we are working with her. The carpets were cleaned on 9/26/22 4 days after your request was brought to our attention. We worked with the resident to make arrangements not to set her garbage out in the hallway and to the best our knowledge, this has been arranged. This is the first we’ve heard about this since September. As for the mud, I have no idea what you are referring to. If there is an issue, we will need to know what that is. We can put pavers in that area if that will help. I’m sorry you are so unhappy here. We feel that we take great care of the property, and address maintenance issues to the best of our ability as soon as they arise. There is construction that has gone on in a few of the units in this building that won’t be completed until the end of this month, therefore, we are unable to replace the carpeting until this has been completed. We are happy to have the carpets cleaned again…..we typically don’t do this in the winter with all the salt and snow that gets drug in, but we are happy to make this happen. I can not tell you what to do with a Google review, so if you feel you need to vent in this way, then there is nothing I can do to stop you.
