This apartment community appears decent and cozy, close to 18 yet tucked away from the busy city BUT don't be fooled. They are a nightmare! To start out with I will say that they weren't as bad when I first moved in but within 6 months after moving in the property manager left and he was replaced. This is when the problems begin. First I decided to get renters insurance since they promise $15 off every months rent for having it. In 6 months I was only credited for this one time and when I contacted the new manager about it she said I would be reimbursed in a latter month (which never happened). When you try to discuss things like this with her she immediately tries to turn it around on you to serve her ultimate goal which is to get as much money out of you as she possibly can. When our lease was up and we moved out she charged us to replace the carpet for stains that were there when we moved in (and they were reported on the form they give you when you move in). After paying on time for 2 years while dealing with the numerous problems noted by other reviewers, they show there gratitude by charging me for something done by a previous tenant. After moving out and finding a much cheaper apartment with a very nice landlord, I have to say stay away from The Woods. There are cheaper apartments in the area with very nice property managers if you just look hard enough.
