I lived at Hampton Farms for two years, yet I have been acquainted with the property since 2009 (friends from law school lived there and I would visit). Until mid 2011, Hampton Farms has been a decent place to live, with manageable noise levels and staff that were very friendly/helpful. The ladies who worked at the front office and the maintenance staff always went out of their way to help with a problem, or even give a friendly wave if they saw you. Unfortunately, however, that is no longer the case. While the methods that Hampton have taken to address certain issues seem good on paper (providing a trash compactor, parking permits to prevent overcrowding, ect.) their ideas are not working in implementation. The trash compactor quickly overflows, leaving so much garbage around the compactor that it quickly piles up outside. Guests, while warned about leaving trash outside their doors, continue to do so. As a result, I've even encountered raccoons on my floor digging through trash left outside (I live on the 3rd floor). While parking permits seem reasonable given the location next to NKU, even when a pass is adequately displayed residents find warning signs threatening towing. Lights in common hallways used to be fixed quickly, however now it can take up to 3 months for a light to be replaced. Finally, muggings/car break ins have now been reported around the complex. This is not the apartment that I visited in 2009, nor the place that I moved into in 2010. Find another place.
