Due to a job transfer to Florida I just left Apple Valley Apartments March 14th after almost 2 yrs. I miss my apartment already!! Cindy, Ann and Dave are top notch property management people. They were always helpful and so kind.
The storage area off the balcony is a god-send and the utility room an asset. My current apartment has neither and I am stressed. Apple Valley is a quiet community that is kept clean and tidy.
The pool is also a great asset.
As far as the water bill...I always paid my on-line and never had an extra fee attached so I am not sure what the other tenant is referring to. $20 per month (single person) does seem high for water, but I learned to conserve. My electric bill was never more that $189 and that was in the coldest months, of course I was third floor and heat DOES rise. Owen Electric is NOT a nice company to deal with. I was used to AEP in Columbus, OH and Owen is horrifying. They will turn off your power for a $40.00 owed balance. AEP would let a bill get up to $300 before a shut off notice went out. Also Owen electric keeps normal M-F 9a-5p business hours which is bad if you work those times to get hold of anyone. My biggest gripe was Insight Cable. The ONLY cable provider and they know they have a monopoly on the area and charge way too much.
I also had auto withdraw on my rent which they do NOT charge extra for.. I never had an issue with Towne Properties nor do I think they get kick backs from the utility companies as the previous rater thinks.
This is a wonderful, safe, quiet place to live.
