We didn't get our deposit back, they took our deposit money with out telling us at all to cover 'late payments'. However, we were never informed of any late payments when we lived there...no letters or any notification what-so-ever. It was extremely frustrating and the people working there are college students that don't know what is going on. You have parking for one place in the parking garage (no matter how many bedrooms you have in your apt) and friends have to pay to park to come visit you. It was VERY scary having to walk by myself from the garage to the building especially with the homeless problem. Also, it was so hard to do any grocery shopping and having to lug bags from the parking garage thru 2 elevators. If you have more than one load it will take you ages to unload your car. There are more homeless people outside the building than there are rats in nyc. It was a major problem and made me feel very unsafe. That is what you get when you have a building next to the public library. On an end note, homeless people would urinate in the elevator going from the parking garage to the main level...they would have to hose it out often but it always smelled from the pee. While it may seem fun to live downtown...take a cab and avoid Anderson properties and the walking over homeless people trying to get into your building.
