The Meadows is a nice place to live unless you like walking off the pavement. It has a lot of trees, a dog park, a brand new gym, a swimming pool, a sand volleyball court, and tennis courts/basketball court. The value for the money is great compared to other housing options in this area. The units on the New Circle side get a lot more road noise than the ones closer to Kirklevington so make sure you walk over there before you decide to rent one of those units if you are sensitive. There is a $300 pet fee. The pet policies are not well enforced as it's about a 50/50 chance that you will step in dog crap if you walk your dog in the green space around the complex. There is supposedly a fine for not picking up after your dog, but in the 1-1/2 years that I've lived here there has been no improvement in this problem. It is going to be the deal breaker when it's time to renew my lease. They either need to make designated areas for dogs to defecate and maintain those areas or enforce the pick-up after your dog policy. I feel it is unsafe for children to play in the green spaces or walk my dog as dog feces is a well documented disease vector.
