Boulder Creek Apartments
Resident · 2011 - 2012
My husband and I lived in a 1 bed/1 bath with a loft from April 2011 - December 2012. Our rent was $650 for the first lease and $665 for the second. (They do have less expensive 1 bed/1 bath apartments, though.) The only reason we moved is because his job transferred us to another state. We were very happy with Boulder Creek and wish we could find the same value/quality of apartments here. I'm VERY thorough in researching apartments, and Boulder Creek was the best quality apartments for the best value in Louisville. During our time there, the office staff was usually courteous and knowledgeable - especially the manager Roxanna. The maintenance staff was polite and worked quickly to solve any problems. I normally only had to call in a maintenance request once, and within a few minutes to an hour (depending on the severity), someone was there to fix the issue. They have a dedicated groundskeeper, and he does a fantastic job keeping the place looking nice and clean. Safety was never a big concern, as the breezeways and parking lots have good lighting. Jeffersontown Police Department is also next to the complex. The building we lived in had plenty of parking spaces, but I don't know if it was the same for other buildings. Noise was minimal, just your normal stuff that comes with living in an apartment. The neighbors we spoke to were always nice. Our apartment had lots of storage space. Great kitchen cabinets with adjustable shelving, a big interior storage closet, a HUGE linen closet in the bathroom, a small coat closet next to the living room, and two spacious his/her closets in the bedroom. The washer/dryer connections are in an actual laundry room, not just a closet space in the hallway like places I've lived before. The living room and bedroom do not have any light fixtures installed, so you have to make do with lamps. Only the dining room and living room have a ceiling fan, so we set fans in the bedroom and loft. Our only complaint about the loft apartment is that it gets kinda toasty in the summer months. We had a western-facing apartment, though, so the eastern-facing units might not get that hot. Overall, we had a great experience at Boulder Creek.
