Draconian policies. My brother, a faithful tenant whose rent has been paid on time for more than a year, recently had surgery for what turned out to be squamous cell lung cancer. He's since subsisted on disability payments, and was scheduled to undergo chemotherapy starting next week (September 2013). Money has been understandably tight, but he's managed to continue making rent payments since July, when he underwent the surgery. After writing a letter to the office this month, complete with details about his condition, and after explaining his situation to them and requesting a degree of latitude and understanding (he being late on this month's rent), he nonetheless received an eviction letter just yesterday in the mail. He will now be forced to forego chemotherapy and return to work, despite a substantially increased risk of the cancer returning. An engineering student, I will- from this point forward- take every opportunity I can, and utilize every professional contact I can make, to spread the word about this agency, and I will find out and hold personally responsible in the event of my brother's death the person who made this call. A completely inexcusable lack of humanity on behalf of Boulder Creek.
