Resident 2009 - 2015

2/3/2016

Whatever you do, do not move to this place. Move to the apartment complexes around it. It's worth the little extra in price. I lived at this place for about 6 years, none of which I was happy, I just couldn't afford anywhere else at the time. I can't even begin to tell everything wrong with this place so I'll hit the highlights. First of all, if you want your water to be shut off all the time without notice, month after month, this is the place for you! The pipes are so old that they constantly bust and break whether it's winter or summer and they shut it off unannounced Everytime. If you were lucky, it would come back on within a couple hours but sometimes it was all day. The real kicker was my buildings water was shut off an entire day two months, maybe three in a row for "repairs" had to find somewhere at the last minute to shower before work those days. And better keep bottled water on hand. Second, the maintenance is AWFUL. If you ever need anything done, you might as well wait forever or you're better off just fixing it yourself. They never really "fix" anything they really just "patch" things along until you can't patch it along anymore to save money. Sometimes I would call to remind them for weeks before I ever saw someone. Thirdly, I had a dog and the grounds were not treated and so over populated with dogs, he got fleas multiple times a year despite be up to date and current on his flea treatment. I never lapsed on it and he still got fleas so those vet bills really added up. Fourth, during the summer, it's hit or miss what time the pools will be open or if they will open that day, depending on if they can find a lifeguard or not. They once closed the pool every Monday for an entire summer. Only time guaranteed open were the weekends. Fifth, the staff is unfriendly and is constantly changing. There's not one person there that was there when I moved in. In fact, the faces change monthly and for sure yearly. Something must be wrong internally as well bc they can't seem to keep anyone more than a couple months at best and none of them act like they truly like their job. Sixth, after the bad summer storms last summer, my roof started leaking. I called and complained and they said, " we are sorry but there is so much water damage/flooding around here you are last on the priority list unless it's emergent. We will get to it when we can" so I kid you not, my roof leaked from the June storms all the way until my move out date. The was the last straw. No one came to fix it, in fact I came home one day and all the water marks had been just covered up by paint. Needless to say after a couple more heavy rainfalls, they showed right back up again. So, if this sounds like something you'd like to sign up for, all I have to say is good luck and you will see!
