Moved into mallard creek apartments almost seven years ago. In the beginning I didnt have any problems with the apartment until they decided to remove carpet from the apartment upstairs and put in linoleum hardwood floors. Now the experience of living here is horrible. Needlessly to say the linoleum hard floors do not have underlay so this makes for very increased noise levels that is transmitted through the ceiling by the upstair tenants. It literally sounds like big foot lives above us and at some point the tenants will be coming through the floors. Thats how hard they walk around. You are awoken from sleep, or if your just wanting to relax from working all day and you come home to this noisiness it makes it very difficult. When complaints have been made to office stay about the issue one particular response from one of the workers, was well they're paying their rent so there's nothing that we can do. From that same worker after a call was made about noise level her response was well are you sure its coming from the right tenant. Yes I'm sure its coming from the tenants above due to me been woken up, my response was well you are more then welcome to stop by the apartment and have a listen for your self and see if you would be fine with living under these conditions and paying the amount of rent we are and can't even sleep because of ridiculous noise levels that could be prevented by not putting in hardwood floors on the top levels. Maintenance is also an issue here. Have called for repairs and it can take days for a response or for someone to even show up and fix the problem. Its very sad how we as tenants have been treated by office staff and how they could ultimately careless about complaints, could show no interest in trying to fix the problem in any way possible. Especially when you've been a loyal tenant for over seven years. Will be calling property manager about complaints and anyone else that I need to, to resolve this issue since the office staff can't and will not help. If that doesn't work I will be breaking my lease as soon as possible. Just some things to think about before moving into Mallards Creek Apartments. Definitely move on the upper levels and if you have any issues don't expect them to be resolved by office staff.

If it comes off that our maintenance and office staff are not addressing the problems, we apologize but we do sincerely care and have to take service requests in the order they come in. Sometimes this does take longer to get to a request when there is an influx of requests.
