Park Place Apartments
Prospective Resident · 2013
Overall, the office staff are COMPLETLEY unprofessional, unfriendly and not nice at all. I went to view an apartment on the weekend. I fell in love with it & was advised one would be available in the time frame I needed. I inquired about how much was needed to put down, app fee, rent, what it included, etc. I was told $99.00 dep and $40.00 application fee. I advised the young lady I had a dog and placed it on my application. She never said anything about a pet policy or deposit. (The ad on Craigslist advised they accepted dogs.) Once I filled out the application and filled out the money orders, she advised me I would hear after 2 pm Monday. That time came and went so I called on Tuesday around 10:30 am and spoke to a "male" (I won't say gentleman because he was rude) and advised I was calling about the status of my app. He didn't even ask my name, just said they probably didn't have all the info and call back after 2 pm. I called at 3:30 and Kim advised I was approved! (Yay, or so I thought). The next day a co-worker advise's me of a $400.00 pet deposit, weight restriction and $40.00 /month pet rent, never mentioned to me by the office. I called and the male "Cal" answered, verified what she said and told me I could pick up my money order. I advised him it was made out to Park Place. He said I was to leave it blank...the young lady on Saturday never told me that either. I go to get the money order and he shuts the office door (half door) on me, doesn't greet me at all, just acts like I'm not there. Before I could complete my sentence stating my name, he rudely cuts me off and says "I know who you are" and gives a small laugh. He had me sign a paper and handed me the MO made out to them and says "I hope you still have your receipt"...(in order to get my refund). I am SO HAPPY I seen first hand how rude and unprofessional these people were before I signed a lease. BEWARE!
