DON'T even fill out an Application! ( You will lose $349) If starting an Application with this Business traps consumers into losing $349, I believe people should be aware of their dishonesty and greed. **FYI: If you actually want to experience luxury living and great Admin staff, checkout The Lodges or the Overlook at St. Thomas** I filled out an Online Application and was charged $349. Application Fee - Online $75.00 Administration Fee - Online $175.00 Online Deposit - Applied to Floorplan Deposit $99.00 Total charges $349.00 I did not send a copy of my Paystubs/Photo ID to the Community Manager- Casey, which would have finalized my Application (per the Leasing portal) because I was waiting for her to correct the Lease with the changes advised by my legal counsel. She said she was not at liberty to make any changes, refused to provide contact information for her legal contacts because they have "open lines of communication from onsite management to offsite management and will not be able to make alteration to the lease." She canceled my application because I would not sign the Lease (with all of the hidden fees others Reviewers mentioned) and because she canceled my Application, I did not initiate a cancelation, she could no longer refund me the $99.00 Floorplan Deposit and the other fees were both non-refundable as well. I filed a claim with the BBB, Casey refused to apologize, resolve this issue or offer even a partial refund. She said she was "not at liberty" to provide her Managers contact information so I could escalate this issue. Called Continental Properties Corporate office, so the Regional Manager could help me resolve this. The Regional Manager never contacted me, but told Andrea Martinez in Corporate they had the same answer as Casey- when they have never spoken to me or contacted me. In response to Casey and her Regional Manager: I attempted to work with you and members of your staff multiple times. However, if starting an Application with your Business traps consumers into losing $349, people deserve to know your dishonesty and greed.

    Hi Linda, I am sorry to hear that you did not have a positive leasing experience with us. Our goal is to be transparent with all fees and costs associated with living at our community. We utilize a lease executed by the National Apartment Association. It is important that we remain consistent with all leasing documents and with Fair Housing laws.
