Station House Square Apartments

This apartment community is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. I have lived in almost 10 different complexes in several different states and never experienced such poor management. They have already been through two property managers and I have only lived here 4 months. The maintanence is terrible because they only have one man trying to maintain dozens of apartments. The manager in the office hardly ever answers the phone. I have to call at least 10 times in one day in order for her to pick up. I have been in the office on several occasions and watched her ignore more than one call. I have also seen the manager(s) leave the office, together, one hour after they opened to walk a dog around the complex. They are not helpful and never seem to care if the tenants have a complaint. My apartment is on the first floor and was recently broken into. My TV and laptop were stolen. The burglar did not even need to break the window to enter. The window was locked, but the building has been so poorly maintained that they only had to push the window in, off of its track and lift it up to get in. I was told that if I had activated my alarm, it may have scared them off, but when we investigated further, found that none of the sensors in any of the windows worked and therefore would have been useless. The tenant above me is employed by the property. He and/or his wife smoke constantly and play loud music in the middle of the night. The smoke is coming through the vents into my apartment at all times and I can always tell when they light a cigarette. My furniture, clothes and all other posessions smell very strongly of smoke and will be required to be cleaned once I vacate. Even my cat smells of smoke. My eyes burn and i have recurring headaches which I have complained to the managers about repeatedly, but they don't seem to care. They claim that there is no way that the smoke can be coming through the vents but there are black stains on the ceiling where the return vents are located. I asked to break my lease because my health is in danger and I do not feel safe living here but my request was denied. The regional manger, Rosemary Westbrook, is not onsite and comes to the property infrequently. She has been very rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. I would never recommend this complex to anyone and actually suggest that all current tenants move out for their own good.
