Station House Square Apartments
Resident · 2012 - 2014
I have lived in the engine style townhouse with my roommate for two years and we have already signed our contracts for another year. I enjoy living in Station House because it is a short walk from UofL and many other students also live here. Overall there is not much I can complain about with my apartment. My room is located on the second floor of our townhouse. The rooms are very spacious. I have a desk, two bookshelves, a full bed, bedside drawers, an wall organizer and an upright coat rack to hold all of my bags. My favorite party of my room is that I have a double closet, which is perfect for all of my clothes and shoes. I also have my own bathroom attached while my roommate's bathroom is located right outside of her door. A short hallway separates us, but noise is not an issue. The only complaint I would have with noise is that I can sometimes hear my neighbors next door. I own a cat which has lived with us for about a year. The pet deposit is $200 and then it is an extra $20 monthly fee for pets. I feel that the monthly fee is a bit high, especially for a cat. But it is very comparable and even less than other apartments that I have looked at in the Louisville area. Starting in August, instead of paying for our own internet and cable, it will now be included with our rent for a total of $1100 a month. I am both excited and nervous for the change because my roommate and I were already spending $106/month for cable for one TV + DVR and internet. This was our "new member" price with the price to be increased for the next year. So as long as everything works smoothly with speed of internet and availability of cable with Station House, I am excited for the change. I have already recommended many friends to live at Station House, and I also came to Station House by a recommendation from a friend. It is a great place to live for an affordable price.
