over the most recent 365 day period. The index is presented as a familiar letter grade format to help renters evaluate all aspects of life at a community.
SatisFacts, a sister company to ApartmentRatings, offers surveys that measure renters satisfaction at key points throughout the renter lifecycle: Touring, Move-In, Maintenance, and Lease Renewal. The questions from each survey type that are based on a 1-5 point scale are then added into the calculation of the community's epIQ Grade.
Not all communities use surveys and therefore may not have any survey information on their report card. These communities will show an "N/A" for their survey sections.

We take the safety of our residents and community very seriously. We have recently hired patrol officers to monitor the property during the night. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the leasing staff with any specific safety concerns or questions. In regards to the landscaping issues, please let us know of any areas that need attention so that we can communicate it to our landscapers. Rebecca, I respect your opinion and would like to take this opportunity clear up any misunderstandings. We absolutely have a policy in place for military personnel who cannot complete their lease term due to receiving orders for a permanent change of station (PCS). Early lease termination fees and concession recoveries are waived in this situation. I understand your son is in medical school and is leaving temporarily to complete a medical rotation at an Army base. I have the highest respect for your son's career path. However, a medical rotation is not cause for a military transfer. Our job is to make our residents' lives easier, not more complicated. I understand medical school is an incredibly taxing time. We offer a variety of lease terms ranging from 6 - 15 months so that our residents can consider their future plans and choose a time frame works best for them. I appreciate your concerns regarding this situation, but to protect the privacy of our residents we must be intentional in only communicating specific matters with lease holders.
