Raccoon urine dripping through ceilings have caused tenants to move out, dog feces in the carpets from past angry tenants not cleaned for new tenants, city health inspectors coming in unannounced on you then flipping the script on you, sewage from toilet water regurgitated into bathtubs and sinks (no telling what @#*($& is in the carpets so deep that we all vomit after vaccuuming stirs up the deeply embedded gunk), noticing brown water coming out, was told "good luck on all that", tenant paid $900 to get rid of bed bugs and refused reimbursement, raccoons/cats living in walls, big holes behind oven, bait-and-switch tactic to get you suckered in by changing terms of lease while signing, i.e. "no rubs" to rubs, $539 mo rent + $100 for rubs + lg&e (runs $170 mo, winter) you could live in $800 mo aptmt instead, they tell you the previous mgr was fired for stealing your rent, then the next one gone and they say the same thing about her, probly not even true, the contaminated turtle creek signs are not noticeable, why is it contaminated? what industry is dumping illegally into the creek and giving untold bodily ills? you smell like the stench from the creek when you walk outside and come back in, so try to get a job with that smell on you. Word to the wise: Inspect your apartment before you move in, allow yourself a few weeks before you even move out of where you are. Tell them to REPLACE your carpet, check to see that faucets turn on and off, look for buckled floors and stained ceilings. Videotape or take pix of your move in condition. Touch all outlets to see if they fall out. You must have evictions or you would not even live there, you'd live at Autumn Run, the nice place next door for $560 1 BR & Den, pools, tennis, workout, tanning beds, no stench, no nothing. Run by RuthAnne. -5 stars for Turtle Creek. They are renovating some apartments because the city made them, but current tenants are still screwed, living in abhorrent conditions. Not current manager's fault, but echoing what everyone else is saying about River City Properties, who owns Post Grove now Springhurst East, humorous name. By the way, it is quiet, the neighbors seem scared or angry or upset, 30 little children under 6 years old outside all summer without supervision, one 4 y/o got run over by a tenant vehicle and killed last summer, rest in peace. Attaching pix of TC this must have been 35 years ago, grounds and aptmts not kept like this, and also Springhurst East off Westp Chamberlain if site allows.
