I lived at the Lofts from 2007 to 2012, encountering the usual problems. My biggest complaint is the foundation is cracked and was before I moved in. A couple of years ago, the floor in the living room, kitchen and bedroom cracked as well as the patio. I called the office to complain about it and was told that "it's been such a dry summer with no rain, so the building is settling". The wall in the bedroom and dining area have visible cracks, the caulking around the tub and in back of the sink in the kitchen pulled away from the wall due to the "settling". I think the apartments were built in the 70's which means it would have settled some time ago. You can feel the crack through the carpet (which doesn't appear to have any padding) and visibly see the crack(s) in the kitchen and entry way. Also, the windows are single pane which offers no insulation and no storm windows. Considering that I had a ground floor unit, it was not the warmest or coolest to maintain. I think part of this was caused by the cracked foundation. Also, laundry facilities are a joke.
