Resident 2009

12/17/2009

I have lived in this apartment complex for a couple of years now. When we first moved in, the office staff was great - but after a few changes in staff, it turned bad. The washing machine that we rented from the complex flooded our apartment and the 3 around it. Since it happened on a Friday, they put blowers in and left them there for us to deal with all weekend. How are you supposed to live in an apartment where the carpet is torn up and it smells awful? Complained multiple times to the staff - maintenance was rude and unhelpful. Had to FIGHT for new carpet in the back bedroom that flooded the most, and they wouldn't replace anything else. Took weeks of constant badgering for them to come back and fix the rotting particle board cabinets in the kitchen that soaked up water from the flooding. Little things are fixed quickly and efficiently, but watch out if something big happens. Office manager told us that it was up to the management company to determine if we could get new carpet in the entire apartment (it was not approved), citing how expensive carpet was. She then went on to tell us about the million dollar renovations that should be happening next year. They can buy expensive, ugly sculptures to place all over the grounds but can't maintain or replace the stairs that are hazardous to use.
