I never even took possesion of my apartment. My two friends and I were refugees from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Jefferson Heights told us they had an apartment for us, but we had to run to the bank and give them a check or we would lose it. This was on 9/10. After we gave them the $475 check we found out the move-in date was 9/26. We were a little annoyed they didn't mention this before, but we were desperate and homeless. A week or so later, we found out that the apartment wouldn't even be vacated until 10-7, and then they would have to do some work on it. My 2 roomates got transferred out of town, I tried like crazy to replace their slots but couldn't. I informed Jefferson Heights that due to THEIR MISTAKE we had to make other living arrangements. They said all deposits were final and wouldn't refund my money. They were rude, insulting, and patronizing-it it starts with the person at top and trickles on down. They were only cordial to the point where they got our money. It is a disgraceful place with horrible management.
