Resident 2008 - 2010

3/15/2010

I have lived in Muriel Crossing since January 2008. I searched a lot of places but I am very particular about details and newness and cleanliness in the kitchen and bathroom but feel in love soon as I walked in at Muriel Crossing. The facility is well kept, beautiful lanscape. The apartments are real big and spacious. Nice cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom. I think that the walls are a little thin, you can hear neighbors at times. I live upstairs so of course groceries and stuff like that are a pain but given the thinness of the walls, I'm glad I'm not downstairs. No roaches or rats or ants or anything like that. But I do have "sliverfish" in laundry room from time to time (I just spray with Raid). The pool is really nice and clean at most all times, they are kinda strict on # of guess you can have in pool. The Gym is small honestly, theres a tv, treadmill, elliptical, and like a bowflex weight station, that's it. I don't utilize the business center much because I have my own computer in my apt. The gate is great for the most part, it does get stuck and doesn't work sometimes. They have now designated one gate as entrance and one as exit which is ok, but I have to drive all the way around from the entrance gate to get to my apartment where as before I could use the other gate and it was a lot closer.Parking isn't the greatest. Especially in the nite, several residences have multiple cars and I came home late one night and parked in Handicapp, I got a $300 ticket and of course I was pissed! I had like $150 in groceries and supplies to bring upstairs and I'm a single female so I try to park close. Management didn't do anything about my complaint and I had to pay the ticket. I think the apartments are only like 6 years old, but the Price is getting to be ridiculous. Each time you renew the rent increase and nothing changes as far as services or anything. You do have until the 4th to pay each month. I am moving in April when my lease it up because I do not want to afford $950 a month for an apartment. Otherwise I really don't want to move, lol!! The neighbors are friendly and quiet, no loitering or loud music. Most occupants are career individuals, some with kids, and then there are serious college students. No Pets allow, which is great for me. Muriel crossing is a nice place to call home if you have dual income, or a real nice single salary.
