I was one of the first tenants in the Palisades and they boasted about how wonderful living there would be. I can't lie, it wasn't bad because it was my first time being off campus away from home. Since they were brand new, management was quick to fix things but after the novelty wore off, they were really hesitant to fix anything! I went without a phone for the first year although it was included in the rent. I never got my second dresser that was supposed to be furnished with the apartment. Maintenance would come in my apartment without knocking and I even caught one person going through my movies while I was out. Franz was the first manager and he could careless what happened there and then there was another guy who graduated from Grambling and had all of his paraphanalia plastered in his office (helloooo, this is Jag country)! Students worked the office and they were horribly unprofessional and acted as if they were the ones who owned the place. The gates never worked from the moment I moved in and paid $50 for a gate opener so I would have to drive all the way around since I lived in the very front. I'm not surprised that these apartments have gone down and my last time down there I can tell that they are just letting them go. These apartments will be 10 years old next year and it sounds like they are getting run down like some projects. Save your money and live on campus or find apartments elsewhere!
