As far as the apartments themselves go, my apartment was nice. Very nice. New paint, new cabinets, new carpeting. Nice big bedrooms (I was in a two bedroom). Lots of community activities, and (what I thought was) a good neighborhood. That's until the sun goes down.<br>When the sun goes down, apparently the people in that complex lose their freaking minds. We had kids screaming at all hours of the night, couples in screaming matches up and down the sidewalks, people with illegal dogs that would just leave dog mess all in our grass. There were drug deals going on to the west and north of my apartment, out in the open, where everyone knew about it. And oh, let's not forget the night that my neighbor beat his wife nearly to death, and me and my equally terrified roommate had to call 911. I moved out shortly after that, because I just couldn't take living there any longer. This could've been a nice complex, if they hadn't made it a low-income complex. And that's not to talk bad about low-income people. I'm not exactly high-income myself. But when you relax the screening guidelines and allow just any Joe Blow off the streets to move into your complex, things will deteriorate, and rapidly. I lived there 4 years ago, and I can imagine things haven't improved any in that time.
