The Creeks of Hammond Apartment Homes
Resident · 2014 - 2015
To make a long story short, the blonde lady in the office has been unprofessional and inappropriate as an apartment manager. I am a college student with a roommate and had trouble with this lady from the beginning. She once said that people around me said I was loud and partying and she called me to say my friend broke the gutter going to my second story bedroom. She said I would have to pay for it. I had no knowledge that someone was climbing on the gutter and it somewhat disturbed me that the on-site police were not called. What if someone was breaking into my apartment? I never had parties and police were never called on me. After an unfortunate small kitchen fire, that same woman promised an estimate but instead had the work done for a high price then demanded payment. For a college student, this was hard to come up with so I started paying payments by check. She returned the second and said she also returned the first although I never received it and stated she would only accept money orders and only after we agreed to a payment plan. No other partial payments. She also has a $500 deposit that I suspect will not be returned to me. She also would not, after several requests, give a supervisors name or the owners name. The painter that painted in an unnecessary area of the kitchen got paint all over our table, chairs, and trash can but the landlord refuses to come see the damage and reimburse for that. This manager likes to intimidate and mistreat college kids that do not know better than to fight her unethical ways. Twice she has also used poor grammar so she is difficult to understand. There are plenty of better apartments in the area. Don't stay there.
