I've been living here for a few months now and so far everything is satisfactory. I've had a few maintenance issues but nonetheless everything was resolved within a day's wait. The apartments itself are old (built in the 70s) but the square footage is fairly decent with walk in closets. It can be cozy here if you make it be. The area is quiet in the day and night. I've never had any problems with anyone. The staff that currently works here is great and very helpful. Its a great bargain to live at on a side of town where everything is within close distance.
The road (Merchant's Blvd) that runs through the complex is run down with pot holes throughout. From my understanding this is a public road and the city is responsible for upkeep. Maybe they need to be notified of its conditions.
One pet peeve I do have with the apartment's management company (Multi Family Management) is how they only allow one vendor to provide our cable and internet services. Lafayette has LUS and Cox aside from the satellite services. We are only allowed satellite service for our tv entertainment and ATT DSL for our internet service. It makes me feel Im in a monopoly when much better is out there to be offered.
Please allow us as tenants to choose whichever service we please. That alone would retain tenants who choose to move out because of this issue.
