You better make sure that a 30 WRITTEN notice is given and not a verbal. I was unaware of the formal "Nelson Pointe" notice that was to be filled out upon my last 30 days before my lease was up. I handed the "temp" my last months rent along with me telling them that I was going to be out by the end of the month. Noting was said to me regarding a written notice. I called several weeks later regarding utilities and was asked if I had turned in my written notice. Now they are wanting to charge me over $550 from the day I called. Stating they could do nothing because it was in my lease. I believe they should take responsibility also for not giving me the form when I said I was moving out. I was never given a "renewal packet" or asked if I was going month to month. As stated by their corporate offices I should have received. I WILL NOT EVER recommend this complex to anyone. They were absolutely no help in resolving the issue. The corporate office was also no help either.
