Beware that you will probably not get your full deposit back. They love to "clean" the carpets before you move in. The problem is the stains are not visible until a few weeks later. By then you have already signed the paperwork saying carpets were just fine. Then when you leave they charge you for the carpet cleaning, and the process repeats. I can almost understand this from a newer community. But Cypress Lake is aging at this point. All of the wiring is ancient, to include cabling inside walls. Whenever you ask a question of the staff, in regards to lease, maintenance, or wiring you will get a different answer every time. There are so many new apartments in Mandeville and Covington now, there is absolutely no reason to decide to live here. I cannot comment on the current fire, as I do not know the cause, but I do think it is time for Tonti to just demo these and build new ones.

We very much enjoyed having you as a resident for almost 6 years and we're sorry that your final experience at our community was disappointing to you. You did receive $190 of your $275 deposit back, so almost 70% of your entire deposit. We do not believe in nickeling and diming our residents. In this case, an $85 stain kit had to be used by the professional carpet cleaning company- in addition to the standard cleaning that we already cover- to remove several large stains. Again, we're sorry that this $85 charge was a necessary one, but we appreciate your time with us and we wish you well with your new home.
