I lived at Peppertree right after Katrina for six months and I didn't have a problem. I loved the price. I thought it was dirt cheap compared to other apts in the area. The only con is that it's kind of small. There isn't a lot of counter space to cook and prepare food but other than that it was cool. There is plenty of storage room due to two large closets. That came in handy for me. Back then, they offered 6 month leases but I'm not sure if they still offer that. That was a plus for me because I don't like to be stuck with 12 or 18 month leases. I loved the fact that there is a wall dividing the living area from the bedroom. Most studio apts are open spaced with no privacy but this is sort of like a junior suite. My neighbors were quiet and there wasn't too much ruckus going on outside of the building. I would recommend any first time renters, college students, singles, or couples to rent here.
