Resident 2005

11/19/2005

I had my concerns about Polo Run from day one but I let the alarm and washer/dryer combo sell me. One question I had before I moved in was about the window unit a/c (like in hotels). They assured me that it could cool the entire apartment, even my bedroom with only the top opening for venting. It did not! I spent most of my time in my living room (including sleeping) because the bedroom was too hot. Aside from how tiny the apartment was I had problems inside the apartment. The walls were paper thin, the floor squeaked, and the tub creaked like someone was going to fall through (I heard my neighbors' tubs as well).

The worst deception of all was thinking that management cared about its residents. The ladys in the office were super sweet to me on my few dealings with them, but the lady manager was a real b****. You could see the word "b****" written all over her face. I did not have bad things to say about her until after she messed over the residents following Hurricane Katrina. She has the nerve to charge people outrageous amounts if they try to move out even if they are relocating due to the storm (I loss my job). I am still paying rent for this sorry --- apartment even though I am not living there. I refuse to pay their rideculous fees so they can turn around and sell the apartment for double the rent. It's ashame too because so many people are looking for apartments right now.
