Don't even consider moving here
During the 2 years that I lived here, they went through about 5 apartment managers as well as a name change (used to be called Woodlawn Manor). Some were better than others, actually when i left in May '04 the woman there at the time was probably the best yet.
The biggest problem, MAINTENANCE! Or should I saw lack thereof. Some problems were never fixed, not in 2 years. My dishwasher never worked. They didn't come once a month to spray for bugs as promised in the lease agreement. If something broke, you could either fix it yourself or forget about it. I learned to deal with the shoddy plumbing (ALWAYS had problems with that) and lack of hot water for an ENTIRE MONTH! Yup, during Dec. of '03 I never had hot water.
I never felt safe in this neighborhood. It's not in the best part of town, I would DEF avoid if you have children or live alone. I heard stories of car theft, break-ins, shottings, stabbings, drug deals, you name it.
I could go on and on about what a BAD experience this was, but I'll let you make your own decision. If you decide to move here though you're out of your mind. I was initially attracted to the large floorplans and French doors, but now I know that is hardly worth the suffering I endured living in this hellhole.Share This Review
