The Preserve is amazing. I've been here for months now, and I couldn't be happier. We have some of the best staff around, especially Christi, Rosalina, and Martin. The place is for the most part one of the quietest apartment buildings I've ever been in. Sure, if you live with a balcony facing the pool, you're going to hear some noise in the summer, but what do you expect? The fitness facility is top notch, they make coffee in the mornings, and there's even a little dog park and a Nola Greenroots community garden across the street! Super dog friendly building. Yes - you should be aware that this is a mixed-income community, so there are residents with government funding. If that's a problem for you then you should probably look somewhere else anyway. I love my neighbors and was immediately welcomed into the community. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the residents in this building! Super convenient to restaurants, brand new giant facilities down on Carrolton (Pei Wei, Winn Dixie, Felipes Taqueria, Pinkberry, Office Depot, Panera), SO close to City Park and some cool coffee shops (Bean Gallery, Fair Grinds), and bars (Finn McCools, Pal's). I couldn't love Mid-City more. There have been concerns about the surrounding neighborhoods, but I'm sad to say as long you live in New Orleans, there will be crime. Domain (the company that owns this and several nearby buildings) is investing a ton of money in this neighborhood to rebuild houses still blighted by the hurricanes. As long as we have great entities willing to invest to reshape our post-Katrina city, New Orleans will only continue to grow.
