I lived in citrus creek apartments for over 2 1/2 years, almost three years. I gave $950 in deposit money plus $50 per month for my pets (this is $600/yr) in extra fees. When we moved out we were charged $63.85 to replace blinds, $1088.48 for the carpet to be replaced, $100 deposit forfeiture fee, and $5.00 picture documentation fee. Which came to a bill of $307 dollars after they deducted my deposit. We called the office 5 times before they finally decided to call us back to discuss the matter. The collection department worker Crystal Indena was very rude and nasty to my husband when discussing the matter and the fact that we had given them over $1200 in fees for the pets. There were a few times that I went in to pay my rent and the staff was so nasty till it was ridiculous. Never did I challenge them or get into an altercation but I didn't think that the way they spoke to me or my husband was warranted. Never the less I would not recommend anyone to move to this apartment if they want to get their deposit back. I have heard of others that had the same problem but didn't think this would happen to me. I figured they would take into account that my family lived in the apartment for almost three years and that this would be normal wear and tear. I have never had a problem with any other apartment I have lived in and I have always received my deposit back from any apartment that I have lived in.
