FIRST, let me say that the staff is nice, as are the people at UL Coleman who operate Millicent Crossing. Within 2 weeks, there was a leak in the floor that ruined personal belongings, ants, roaches, mold and mildew. Everyone who works in the office is very pleasant, basically what you'll read in the other reviews. The maintenance staff is prompt, but not happy when they have to come to your apartment to fix more than 4 different things. There are some good things about it: As far as I know, there have been NO car break-ins in over 2 months, it's quiet, people seem to take care of their own spaces (ie: no junk laying around), dog owners clean up after their pets, 2 pools, coin laundry open til 10pm, GREAT location, right accross the street from LSUS. The buildings were built incorrectly (admittedly, before UL Coleman owned it), and at least one has been having unseen problems going on inside the walls for over 30 years. There is one building where the siding has been off the building for the last week with workers there each day. I don't know what's going on over there, but probably the same problems we've been having. This place was built in 1972. It's covered really nicely in vinyl siding, so you can't see the old rotted siding. This may just be a problem with the ONE building on the property that I've experienced, I don't know about the others. It's in a great area, and as I've already said, the staff is near perfect, they didn't build it, but if you are going to rent here, I'd suggest spending some money on some inspections, and try to get a top floor unit to avoid most bugs altogether. Great place for college kids or childless couples, these things wouldn't really bother me as much if I didn't have children who had to live there.Share This Review
