This is my second year at the Arlington Gardens. I have a 2nd floor corner unit and my experienced is based on this favorable unit location. Overall, the apt complex is very quiet, it's for the most part tucked away from traffic (there are only a couple of buildings facing Broadway). Excellent maintenance crew have helped me before. People that live in the complex are nice and I've never heard anything that would disturb the neighborhood - be it kids and adults in the parking lot area or neighbors in general. My 2nd fl neighbor does have a newborn baby, however the sound of the crying baby does not interfere with my life at the apt complex. Perhaps it's because we have a stairwell between our apartments and do not share walls. My experience living here has been great. There are many people who have lived in the Arlington Gardens for many years. The best thing I enjoy the most is having Thompson Elementary School nearby - you get to see unobstructed by buildings sky, play in the school basketball / soccer area, etc. It's a great school, by the way. There are a bunch of bunnies and squirrels running around - this creates a pleasant and positive living situation. The building manager, Bill T., is great. He is honest, has integrity and wants to make sure every tenant is taken care of. Not too many people like Bill. Animals are not allowed. No smoking anywhere on the premises, which is great and takes care of any worries that your apartment will smell of cigarette smoke from neighbors smoking in their apartment. Laundry is in the basement and it's nearly always available. Only $1.25, I believe, per wash and $1.25 per dry, which is half of what other apt complexes charge. 1 assigned parking space per 1-bedroom apt. Guest parking spaces are available.
