I live in this row of buildings managed by Fineberg also. There are some pluses, including the lack of bug and mice problems in my building.

Problems include lots of obnoxious student noice, including the drinking on the rooftops; the lack of *any* recycling containers, and the placement of dumpsters in a dark alley behind the buildings, as much as 100 yards away. As a result, many tenants just dump their trash bags in the hallways or leave them in the stairwells. This used to annoy me, but on cold dark nights, I can't blame anybody for not wanting to go out in that alley. If Fineberg gave a crap about this, they would place trash and recycling containers in reasonable proximity to where people live. But Fineberg does not care and will not spend a few bucks to provide reasonably located containers.

Probably the worst thing is the lousy quality of laundry facilities: 4 washers and 4 dryers for 3 buildings with over 100 units and maybe 200 tenants; nowhere near adequate. Maybe 2 or 3 of the 4 machines are working at any given time. And rather than maintain and repair this equipment, Fineberg outsources it to a independent contractor that does neither. The laundry equipment is basically there so they can claim to have on-site laundry rather actually to be used by the tenants.

Fineberg's philosophy seems to be, "If it is good enough for students, why spend money to make it better?"

So, if you can do your laundry somewhere else, don't mind paying very high rents and living around some very noisy students, this may be the place for you.
