Having lived in Exeter Towers for a while, I can´t say that it is a bad place, but it certainly isn´t great, and I´m sure that I could find something better for the money I paid. The people who work at the door are very friendly and accomidating, but they also have the tendancy to let in anyone who comes to the door, which essentially short-circuits the idea of always having someone at the door. The building is fairly new, which is nice, but the materials used, from the carpet to the kitchen cabinets to the closet doors to the shower head are all second rate, and you´re garaunteed to have problems with them. Also, though the walls are thick enough that you don´t hear everything that your neighbors are doing in their bedrooms, I can hear everything going on in other bathrooms in the building from my bathroom, which while sometimes rather funny, isn´t exactly ideal.
<br>My biggest complaint is that the apartments all frequently have problems with rodents. I talked to some of my neighbors about this, and they confirmed that they had the same problems. Basically, in the winter, when it is cold enough that the mice look to get indoors, Exeter Towers draws a lot of them, since there is a restaurant, Stephanie´s, on the first floor. Despite having the apartment treated, setting traps, and keeping the place immaculately cleaned, there was one week where I saw five different mice in my apartment. Disgusting.
