Resident 2001 - 2002

8/2/2002

I lived there for 1 year, from 2001 until 2002. Never had a problem with the mgt. who were professional and communicated clearly. Course, I paid my rent on time so maybe that made a difference? <g>. They do a great job - and I have lived in loft environments for the past 20 years, so I know. I had one problem with a water leak and they fixed it SAME DAY. Absolutely beautiful courtyard, great spaces, large with hardwoods and ALL utilities included. Enclosed parking lot. THAT is a good deal in Boston/South End, let me tell you. Lots of artists live here. Not being one, I enjoy their company, but they tend to have a different lifestyle than others. If you don´t like that, don´t move here. My rent increase would have been minimal (2%), but I had to relocate for my job. Otherwise I would still be there. NOTE: Neighborhood is lower Roxbury (i.e., the OTHER side of Mass Ave/South End). It CAN be sketchy, so have your wits about you if you intend to do lots of late nite walking. Listen, loft living is not for everyone, and if you are looking for the peace, quiet and solitude of your own private world, a suburb may be more appropriate for you. But if you prefer something a little more colorful, this is a fantastic place.
