After my first visit to Longfellow place I though that it is going to be a safe place in downtown-Boston to live with my family, but after 6 months of experience I noticed that there is no safety here at they just care about the money and not the people living here.
They rent two bedrooms apartment to 4 to 6 people that bring more friends every night, the whole floor smells of pot, joint and etc. you see low socioeconomic people come and go to different floors at one Longfellow with the same people who always smell like a moving pot. Don t feel safe even in the elevator with them, seems like a criminal activity and nothing happened after reporting so many times to the manager. Instead they sent an email to all residents just secure themselves from legal problems that residents can make for the company as follows:
Dear Valued Resident(s):
We are writing to inform you that we have received four reports of an unidentified male entering unlocked apartments during the night/early morning hours while residents are home. In all four instances, the perpetrator, described only as a man about 5'10 to 6 feet tall and weighing about 160-180 lbs, was found in the apartment in the night/early morning. The man has reportedly left the apartment once he is discovered. Nothing has been stolen and no one was has been approached by the individual.
The Boston Police Department has been notified of these incidents and we will continue to cooperate with the law enforcement officials in their investigation. If you have any information that you feel might be useful in this investigation, or if you would like information regarding this incident, please contact the police.
As a reminder, always keep doors and windows locked and be aware of your surroundings, especially at night. As you ca n appreciate, no one can ensure your personal safety. However, by being alert and taking sensible precautions, you can minimize the impact of unfortunate incidents. If you ever suspect a crime is occurring on the property, or notice anything unusual or suspicious, please contact the police immediately. IN AN EMERGENCY, ALWAYS CALL 911.
