I lived here for 1.5 years. Pros: Can't beat the view, convenience to MIT, Kendall T, food in Kendall Square. Lived on a pretty high up floor and never saw a single roach/ant/whatever. Heat included in rent, so didn't have to worry about that in the Boston winter, which is also nice. Concierge service deals with all the packages for you and is at the desk 24/7. Pretty good security. Maintenance is timely. Cons: Shower randomly turned from hot to cold all the time (and plumbing work was happening "often"). The apartment doors are heavy and they *will* slam REALLY LOUDLY. Other than the doors, didn't really hear neighbors, though. Laundry costs were high. Once you're in the door, the leasing office is not as accommodating, and "forgets" promises they had made you earlier. I would advise to get everything they tell you down in writing, signed, and filed along with your lease to prevent headaches afterwards. Overall, if you have the money to spend and like concierge service and convenience, this would be a good fit. Otherwise, if you are okay with splitting a cheaper apartment farther away from things, I would recommend finding someplace else.
