Solid place to live in for mid-level apartments. The pricing is fair for a 2 bedroom.
Pros:
- Amazing views
- Balcony
- Floor to ceiling windows for sunlight
- Heat included*
- Spot-less on move-in day, including new carpet and freshly painted walls
- Pet friendly
- Easy to let people in
- Sound proofed walls, floors, ceilings
- Close to the T and MIT
- Some street parking
Cons:
- The heat is turned off too early so that it can be in the high 50s in the apartment for 1 to 2 weeks in the year. In 2015 it was particularly bad and it was in the 50s for almost a month and a half. Unfortunately, they won't turn on the boiler unless it's freezing out so we had to get space heaters (which they didn't reimburse and to us was in bad taste since the lease "includes" heat*)
- Tiny kitchen
- It can be a hassle to get packages
- Bare minimums in terms of amenities
- The parking lots are always empty because they charge a ridiculous amount for where we live. You'd think residents would get a discount at least but $150-$170 a month is steep.
Again, overall it's a great place to live in. Safe for kids, super convenient location, amazing views + balcony, sound proofed making it easy to have people over. It's one of those buildings that's ugly on the outside and beautiful on the inside (metaphorically and literally). Recommend as a stepping stone to luxury apartments.
