I just recently moved in, so these are my initial impressions. This is certainly one of the nicest places I've found so close to Harvard. The owner seems a meticulous sort who would rather underprice his units to minimize vacancies and make tenants want to stay forever. Overall the building and the unit are tidy and in good repair. It shows its age a bit, some 38 years, not bad at all for this area, but a lot is renovated, with new appliances etc., and looks pretty new in most respects. The fixtures, windows, carpeting, etc. all strike me as surprisingly good quality, and there is an effort to keep the common areas quite presentable, with common-sense rules like no discarding furniture in the lobby. Underground parking is extra for $90/mo, by the month. Nice, but most of the spaces are extremely narrow, and one of the levels is a bit flooded. Also in the basement is a pretty nice gym, coin-op laundry, and a bike storage room. It's pretty quiet so long as the windows are shut. Management is off-site, but maintenance has always come for minor repairs within a day or two. Overall I am very pleased with the place and feel that I am getting a good deal.
