I grew up in hilltop gardens and remember it being the greatest place to live. by the time i was 19 yrs old it started to go down hill when new people bought it and took over. now im 26 and i visit this place often due to a friend of mine and his family living here, plus i made some new friends in the same building. I found out that this place was bought out by numerous people, then they end up selling the property a couple of years later. the current owners who also work in the main office will like you or not like you for what ever reason it may be. they are in every ones business and they have their maintenance crew snoop around your personal life. if you have any one stay for more then a week they report it to the owners where they then question you about it and possibly threaten you with a eviction notice. legally you can have some one stay with you for up to two weeks at a time. i have personally seen a contract for leasing an apartment here and it states that maintenance has every right to enter an apartment, pretty much at will, when legally you need a 24 hr notice in the state of Massachusetts. there have been times where i heard that they have walked in on people getting out of the shower or just waking up. If it wasn't for management making up their own laws i would gladly move here once again, but unfortunately they think they can do what ever they want. I wish i can go back in time to when i was a kid living here and tell the owners to never sell this place.
