The positive remarks must have been made by members of the tenent board. Some of these people have lived here for 20 years and appropriated money to fix up their own units. Of course these users will love the place!
Yes, the schools are good in town, my my childeren were made to feel like lepers because they lived in "StinkenWoods". I have moved to Needham, where the schools are just as good and i am getting a great deal in a MODERN, CLEAN, WELL MANAGED complex owned by Equity. My new home has a set-aside for affordable family housing, as a single mom, I easily qualified. Now I actually pay less rent and live first class, with central A/C and a play area for the kids.
Because of laws in Mass, all the big private developers have to set aside units for affordable housing in order to build new buildings. Therefore I live in a unit that on the market rents for $2200 a month and I am treated just like all the other residents. I have learned that I do not have to be treated like a leper becuase i am trying to raise my kids myself. None of my neighbors know I am geting a deal from the owners. They keep it a strict secret.
When I lived here I used to hear people talk about how if you don't have money you can't live anywere else. This is not true, there are lots of places owned by first rate developers that have set asides.
Lincoln Woods is a true hell, as others have written. Its no place to call home.
